Miss America Organization possibly to decrown Cara Mund
Admitting that her TV apperance could violate her contract with the Miss America Organization, Cara Mund underlined that she is possibly to be decrowned.
"But, at the same time, (this is) so much more about doing what's right than the crown." Cara Mund stated in a written statement in response to Gretchen Carlson's remarks on the issue.
Referring to Carlson's recent allegation that her letter costed the Organization a sum of $75,000 in funds by sponsors, Cara Mund pointed out the organization not naming the sponsors in question.
"We hadn't heard of any sponsor giving $75,000, and that sponsor hasn't been named," she said. "Sending out this letter, I've had so much support, and two of our top sponsors actually messaged me directly and told me they were proud of the courage to stand up for what's right."
